This evenings proceedings were spiced up by a spectacular powder puff race. The race was won by Donna Armstrong who was competing in her fourth such race. Second spot went to Irene Glass who earlier had managed a near wipe out with Joan Copley driving the Lou Austin car. One near tragic accident happened tonight in the John Banks car driven by Ruth Ann Darling. Coming off of the second turn she lost the handle putting the car into the wall and instant holocaust. Fortunately nothing more than a cut hand was sustained and quick work by Mass Emergency smothered the flames. Modified Feature - Paul Flynn and Dick Chase brought the pack down for the green. One lap later the red was out due to a Bugs Stevens - Larry Antonellis wall incident. On the restart it was eleventh place starter Fred DeSarro powering into the lead. For Fred there was no question that this was his feature. Lap after lap DeSarro powered through the turns and down the straights. Challenges were offered by Jack Malone, Fred Schulz, Ed Flemke and Bob Bachiocci, all for naught though. |

Flying Tiger Feature - This race was a start to finish romp by George Cadorette. George, who had been black flagged for three weeks straight finally may have broken his bad boy tag. Second place went to Les Rose followed by Billy Singerson and Jimmy MacCallum.
